As part of me trying to solve this problem, I've been recommended to go over this famous tome by Donald Knuth.

 

I've been told it contains algorithms on dealing with Bignum implementations (albiet in assembly, but I'm sure I'll manage).

 

Yet the title of Volume 3*is "Sorting and Searching". Just to make sure there wasn't a typo in the email sent to me (and avoiding a costly mis-purchase) can anyone who has the book or at least read it confirm it contains this?
