Hi, I am in the middle of chossing some RAM for my computer, however I also think it needs a graphics card too. What graphics card would be worth getting on a power supply of 300W??

My PC's spec is:

Intel Celeron D 3.33Ghz

512mb DDR2 533Mhz Of RAM

VIA Chrome9 HC IGP WDDM...With 64mb Dedicated Graphics Memory and 64mb Shared System Memory to make 128mb of graphics memory.

Vista Home Basic & Ubuntu 8.10

A link to my PC is Ei SYSTEMS 205 DESKTOP PC - AR Computer Services

And it's motherboard is Foxconn - Products: Motherboard

I see lots of graphics card for sale under £50 but I'm not sure if my system is compatible with them? Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

Hi

Just quick reply , something like a Nvidia 9500gt is probably somewhere around the best spec card u can use with 300w (not sure of ati equivilant card)

Motherboard has 1 x PCIe x16 so that would be fine with the above card and doesnt need extra power connectors.

If for games would struggle a bit with newest ones , but would fine with slightly older ones.

1gb of extra memory will help alot too.

Cheers Kev
