Pigeon Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Hi, i've just bought a basic XW6000 PC but the graphics card is of minimal quality, i'm looking to buy a GeForce 9600 GT however i am unsure if this card would work in this PC set-up  If anyone could tell me it would be much appreciated :D Quote
maynardvdm Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Hi Is it this one : HP xw6000 - PC Desktops - Shopping.com If yes, then you can only put in an AGP graphics card, and i think the 9600GT uses PCI express, so you won't be able to fit it. Dalo Harkin Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 AGP cards are expensive and no where near as fast as PCI-E cards, you may be better off buying a new MOBO that supports PCI-E and a PCI-E card rather than buying old technology Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
