How to minimise the taskbar

I do apologise in advance, I'm sure this has been asked many times before,

but I can,t find the answer.

A long time ago, I increased the height of my taskbar, and now I want to

'pull' it back down.

I try clicking and holding and dragging the top down, but it won't move.

Am I being really stupid, or is there something wrong.

any advice would be really appreciated.

thanks

RE: How to minimise the taskbar

Right click on an empty space on the taskbar. Click on Lock the Taskbar to

uncheck it. Drag the topside down.

Re: How to minimise the taskbar

How many items are in the notification area? If you have unchecked Hide

Inactive Icons, try checking that and trying to shrink the taskbar again.

Re: How to minimise the taskbar

The right divider of your quick lanch bar could have moved down. Unlock the

taskbar, click the divider to the bottom left of the Quick Launch, and drag

it up and to the right of the quick bar. If you move the right one, you can

re-position the toolbars so they're next to each other rather than

above/below. Then you should be able to resize the Taskbar.

Re: How to minimise the taskbar

You're a genius, just like bigal1808 said. I've been reading threads

searching for a fix for this problem, and your instructions worked perfectly.

Thank you!!
