Help needed on Windows XP Recycle Bin

On my desktop computer when I click "Explore" on the recycle bin it shows

what items are in the recycle bin.

 

On my laptop however when I click on "Explore" it does not show what is in

the recycle bin. Even if I double click on the recycle bin the contents do

not show.

 

How can I fix my laptop recycle bin so I can know what is in it?

 

I am afraid to delete anything in it before making sure what is in it.

Maybe there is nothing in the recycle bin?

 

Perhaps you have it set to by-pass the bin when deleting files?

 

Right-click>Properties.......Uncheck "Do not move files to the recycle bin.

Remove files immediately when deleted"
