StartService failure! Problem

Hi, I´ve got a similar problem. The PC is a Samsung R60plus (Windows XP).

 

When we enter our password the PC shuts down and starts again.

 

When I try to start in safe mode it gives me this error messages:

 

StartService failure!: Unknown 1084

 

and

 

Unable to install driver

 

But I can´t go into the safe mode.

 

We need help, urgent.

Hi Melanie, do you have any restore disk or disks for this laptop as they may be needed.

I will hope someone with a bit more knowledge on this can be along soon as it is a bit out of my field. However I think this may be a hard drive failure.
