Whenever I open up My Computer and rill down to look at file folders and file

lists, it always displays uin the "Icon" view. Is there any way to default

this so that it will always open up with the "Details" view???

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

Try going to the Control Panel, click on Folder Options/View, scroll down

and see if 'Remember Each Folders Settings is checked'.

Open My Computer > Set the File View to Details > Hold down the Ctrl key then

click on the Close button (red X on the top right of the window). It should

default to details the next time my computer opens.
