Vista back

Having had to buy a replacement hard disk for my childrens PC and manually

loading the manufacturers image I am now unable to restore any of the data

backed up by Vista Backup and Restore Centre.

 

Having looked into the problem I understand that my problem can be resolved

by rebuilding the index file 'mediaid.bin'.

 

Does anyone know how to do this?
