TS Log on and log off screen does not finish

Hi all,

Our 2003 server (standard edition) running TS, dc, dns, dhcp, and recently

we experience problem when log on or log off the server both remotely and

locally. The log on and log off screens won't go away and I have to manually

logoff that session using TS management console.

I notice that mobsync.exe running everytime user logoff, if I end that

process, log off finished. Besides, some application stop responding at log

off and windows can't close them. I try to stop mobsync from running by

modify the registry value and starup list but it still shows up.

At log on, winlogon seems to take a lot of time and won't finish. I have to

logoff or disconnect that running session and users are able to log again

promptly.

Please help me as I do not know how this happens. Thank you for all advices.

Mobsync is part of IE that syncs with off-line files.

Have you tried installing UPHClean?

Maybe the users have a roaming profile on a shared network folder,

and that share has offline files enabled? If so, disable offline

files on the profile share.

I already used UPHClean for a while, and it was before I have this problem.

Hank, the caching is set to not available under properties-sharing-caching.

Re: TS Log on and log off screen does not finish

Here's how you can get rid of mobsync:

Run "Synchronise" from your "Start/All Programs/Accessories

Menu. Select setup, and uncheck the synchronisation options, then

deselect the option to synchronise your home page.

From explorer, select Tools/Folder Options/Offline Files: deselect

the "Enable Offline Files" option.
