First my PC (Microsoft XP operating system and an emachine) started not letting me change my desktop. If I go to display it will only allow me to change the color, nothing else. So I tried to download a new theme. The theme downloaded with something called "SpyShredder". Now my PC still won't dispaly any wallpaper and although I have deleted and unistalled both the theme and the "SpyShredder" they are still there every time I reboot.

Have you run a virus scan? Or do an online scan at http://www.trendmicro.com just to eliminate the possibillities that any virus is causing this.

Will check back later.

Yes I ran a virus and spyware scan and these programs didn't come up in it. I did have six other programs that were considered "potentially dangerous". I will go try trendmicro though. Thanks.

The PrismXL service lets the Client deploy Tasks on a target computer regardless of the current user.s permissions. and can also allow remote control of your machine..did oyu install this..

supposedly comes from

www.newboundary.com. this is a legit peice of softwarer but can be used for more devious purposes.

c:\windows\xpupdate is usually added by the RBOT-QE WORM!, try running an anti virus scan from www.trendmicro.com

also a rubbish/mailware etc remover from www.ewido.com update it then do a full system scan then delete what is found.

there is at least 5 infections 1 virus.4 mail/adware. run those scans then repost a hijack this log.
