At the risk of sounding like a person who says the best thing about a vehicle is its engine, and saying that the wheels are unimportant, I will nevertheless ask;

 

What is your most useful/favourite feature in .NET? I favour generics above all. Why generics?

 

The length and breadth of its implementation, and the fact that it has 'set up' so much of the current .NET 3.0 and .NET 3.5 features. Why does Blowdart for instance champion cardspace? This is a simple quest to enlighten people that may or may not have glanced at a feature (personally i've not looked at cardspace yet).
