Cheap Printer for Windows 98 ??

Hi :)

 

Could any one recomend a cheapo inkjet that will work in Win 98 as most i can find seem to start with win 2000 .

 

Pc has USB but probably v1.0

I have had a look and I can't find one either - you are almost back to dot matrix printer days.....

 

It might be worth emailing Epson and Canon to ask if they have anything compatible with 98.

The only other thing is a trawl round your local second hand shops, both general or if lucky, one that deals in second hand computers and gear. There are two that I know of in my town, so you may get lucky.

I am with Nev on this one,second hand shops would be my first port of call.

Thanks for all your replies , had a brain wave today and checked out my newer all in one epson on my newer pc and bingo! had drivers for Win98 :o

 

So i have relocated this printer and ordered a new model of basically the same type.

 

Old Epson DX3800 will work on Win98

 

New Epson SX115 wont but is goin to be with the new PC :D
