mrjobs Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Hi guys, just looking for help on this problem...My PC monitor suddenly stopped working, the power light didn't come on and being 8 years old, assumed it had died. I bought a new monitor, but now the new one is showing visuals when the PC is booting but after the Windows page it goes blank but the sound suggests that my PC is fine as its makes all the usual noises as XP loads BUT NOTHING ON THE SCREEN!! Any ideas - please help! Quote
maynardvdm Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Hi When the computer starts up, press F8 when the options appear choose VGA mode Then adjust your monitor settings to the lowest setting, then restart in normal mode and then you can adjust it to a better setting. Jelly Bean Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I would sugest fitting a graphics card and test that way. It could be bad RAM that is causing this issue. Try removing RAM sticks and test each individualy. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
