re:ip adress

 

Hi wonder if anyone can help me im trying to set up my anti virus software

and for it to update automatically i have to enter my ip adress is there a

simple way of finding this out and if so can you explain it as simple as

possible thanks for any help in advance.

In command prompt type ipconfig

 

Any piece of software that wants you to tell it your ip address is highly

suspect. It should know what it is.

Thanks for your quick reply i think i will give it a miss on your advice

although it is anti virus software thats asking for it (panda anti virus

2008). I thought like you that most anti virus software detects all this

information itself, its not because im installing the software on my

wireless laptop through my router hence its asking for these details could

this be the case ? thanks
