Win XP Pro - IP Address won't auto renew when changing sites

I have an end user who uses wireless at her office. When she shuts

down and goes home, she will connect up to her home wireless however

she will still have her office IP address. (It's not static). She can

do an ipconfig /release /renew just fine and it works, but she would

like it to auto renew/change when starting the PC.

I have removed and re-added TCP/IP and removed/ re-added wireless

drivers. I am at a loss as i've never seen it not refresh the IP

address when powering up the PC.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Re: Win XP Pro - IP Address won't auto renew when changing sites

The two wireless networks must have a different SSID ( name ), so I

don't see how an IP Address from one network would be retained as

the machine detects and joins a different wireless network.

If you check the available Wireless networks ( assume the PC uses

XP's Zero Wireless Configuration ) what networks are shown. Also

which is the preferred network. Also does she power off the computer

or simply put it into a Sleep state ?
