maxell 4g flash drive

having a problem getting this to show any mem on properties, i have vista home premium. any help on this would be great, thanks bennett.

Alright J.B. it seems to be the same problem that jinkie had, in the properties it only shows about 1mb if that, i had hoped it was a plug and go but it seems to need a bit of fiddling with it. not my cup of tea when a bit complicated. it shows as k drive.

What does it show in disk management?

 

Are you able to resize the partition there?

I have to ask the question, has it ever shown the full 4GB? if not, and new to you, where did you buy it?

If not of reputable make or source it could be a duffer, there are a lot of re printed or re labelled drives knocking about that are pirated. The pirate gets a cheap 1GB drive, then re labels it as 4GB, and can therefore sell it at a higher price and then run.

Thanks for your help, i have now returned it and got a sandisk. It worked right away, showed exactly what mem was on there. The chap at tesco said there was quite a few of them round the back. Once again thanks for your time, m.b.

Never, about 1 mg i think but i have returned it to tesco and got a sandisk, works fine. He said there was quite a few maxells out the back. Im not surprised. Many thanks for your help, m.b.

yes and no, i ordered one about 2 weeks ago but it never arrived, got to wait 21 days now to see what happened. if and when i get it i will give it ago, all the best m.b.

This bad weather is holding deliveries back.I ordered my 7 yearold a mouse for her netbook and it still aint arrived,its a waiting game.Play.com is usaly pritty good and after 21 days either return your money or a replacement.My cash in past was in my bank in less than 24 hours.,
