Guest Stevek Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Upon installing Server 2008 Standard (X86) on a Standard Dell 1950 Poweredge (Installed as Workgroup server NOT domain member) I see the following: HttpEvent 15016 Error: Unable to initialize the security package Kerberos for server side authentication. The data field contains the error number. MSDN provides the following information for the error: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/1461e436-9b52-422c-bca9-709c802a93141033.mspx?mfr=true We have re-installed the OS from the original install media twice now and are still seeing the same error. This box has been designated as a Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server (TFS). What is the status of this error? We are wondering if this is a "go" or "no go" situation for the TFS install. Is there any more word from Microsoft as to the cause of this error and another solution considering we have tried their recommendation of re-installing the OS multiple times. Any Help PLEASE? Stevek

You will see this error message with the server in a workgroup.
