Yes, you will have to keep fixing the redirect. It will "reset" itself

if it doesn't see the flash drive at login, and you won't know where the

files really are saved until you "discover" they aren't on the flash drive.

Several - Most Flash drives fail with little or no advance warning.

They do not operate like a traditional magnetic drive where you

might see bad clusters appearing before the drive totally fails. I've

had at least 3 Flash drives "JUST STOP" working. One day they

function the next a complete failure.

Second they are slow. Even with the new Class-6 devices you're

going to see throughput below 35 Meg. It may not be a critical

issue but one potential issue is removal before data is flushed to

the device. That would never be an acceptable thing for your My

Documents data.

If you do redirect to the flash, I'd use some form of Imaging type

software on it. I use Acronis True Image to take a image of my

business Flash I use for installers & drivers.

Thanks to both - I'll stick with Off-Line files!

I haven't tried it, but in theory you could use both. Wouldn't hurt to

try. Not sure what purpose it would serve, but you would have a backup

using the OF.
