Hi all,

My first post so please bear with me!

I really really need help from you guys. My problem is as follows:

I have an Iomega Home Network Media Drive attached via an ethernet cable to my Sky Broadband Netgear router (running sky firmwire). I can access this drive internally through any computer on my network.

I now want to take this one step further and be able to access this drive remotely over the web.

So far I have managed to enable FTF on my NAS drive, sign up for a DNS with dyndns.com, set my NAS up as the default DMZ server on my router & forward the FTP port 21. I have tested this port and it is open.

I am now able to access the NAS drive externally (away from my network). However I can only access the NAS drives home page (configuration page). I can not actually access the files.

Does anyone know where I am going wrong? I have searched and searched the forums and can not find any solution to my problem.

Please ANY help would be much appreciated

I've come across a similar problem with a NAS box. If I remember correctly I had to login to the NAS locally, and change the user permissions so everyone could access the share.

Sorry I can't be of any more help - it's over a year ago that I did it.
