Windows explorer timing out when searching for files accross a slo

I have come accross this a couple of times that when you use windows search

facility to find files from a network share the search results come back with

nothing to be found. If you manually search for these files they are present.

I understand that Win XP has a time out so if the data store doesn't respond

within a time period Windows returnes a nothing found screen. This only

happens from one of our remote sites where the network connection to the main

site is poor at best.

 

I did find a Microsoft Knowldgebase article on how to fix this, but I can't

find it again, is there anyone out there that can help me please?
