Guest Martin Swain Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hi, I have a pretty huge problem with a Windows 2003 server. It's a member server in an active directory domain, and it's configured as a fileserver, also as a WINS server and DHCP server. A little background: our domain controller, an SBS 4.5 machine, recently crashed, and so we created a new domain controller using Active Directory on another Windows 2003 server. The problem with my fileserver started when we disjoined it from the old domain and added it to the Active Directory. Ever since, we have no local access to the file system. When we start Windows Explorer, an error message appears that says 'this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer'. I have reviewed all the policy settings I could find, but haven't been able to find anything that obviously points out the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Martin Swain
