if I set the taskbar to always be ON TOP of other programs it does

just that-- I also have it set to automatically hide.---- HOWEVER it

is also on top of the tool tips that pop up when i am looking at the

system tray on the taskbar.

Is there a way to have the taskbar on top of other programs but have

the tooltips of the system tray on top of the taskbar so I can read

them??????????

thx

Apparently a known bug in XP. Have a look here:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/how-to-fix-system-tray-tooltips-not-displaying-in-windows-xp/

I know it describes them as not displaying, but what they mean is that

they are, but are hiding behind the task bar.

Hope this is helpful.

Re: taskbar and system tray question

Thank you so much-

It appears to work exactly as it should now.

I'll see how long it lasts.
