JVM.dll error

I am trying to run a program but I get a IE 7.0 error that says jvm.dll. How

do I fix this error?

Remove Sun Java JRE (all versions if you have multiple versions) and install the latest

version.

 

Version 6.0 update 4 (jre 6u4)

I ran this file three times and got the same responsse. I selected jre 6u4

and all it will install is update 3. I also went to JAVA and selected update

and it says I have the updated version of 6.0 update 3. I cannot get it to

update to 4. What else can I try?

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

 

 

Again, make sure all other versions are removed via the Control Panel applet, "Add/Remove

Programs".

Do this prior to installing v6 update 4 and download the "Windows Offline Installation"

version.

David..much thanks for your help. Got 6u4 installed but when I try to get

into this program i still get the WIN XP windows freeze with the jvm.dll

error. Any other recommendations for me. Much appreciated.

Look under...

C:\Program Files\Java

 

The only folder under that folder should be the latest version.

 

Such as...

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_04

 

This should be seen..

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_04\bin\client\jvm.dll"

 

Do you find any other instances of; jvm.dll on your PC ?
