Hello

I seem to be getting this microsoft message quite often This window is busy. Closing this window may cause problems. This time despite using windows task manager I could not close the message. Then unfortunately due to sheer frustration and having a bad day all round, crass stupidity surface, and I decided to close it anyway as I put it down to my slow and old computer and would be replacing it soon.

I have also been getting the low in memory message from Microsoft.

After doing some google searches the opinions seem to varied, ranging from malware, virus, to nothing at all.

I would be really grateful if someone could advise me what to do here

as I am a little worry now and annoyed with myself. :o

Best

William

Hi sportingman.

There is a very short time period where posts can be edited. This helps avoid confusion where someone might edit a post and no one sees the edit because they scroll down to the most recent post.

There is no perfect solution to this within the Vbulletin software options. Just make a new post and state any other different information you would like to supply.

Hello there.

Oh you seem to be having a few problems there.

Ok lets see if we can get you to do a few checks etc.

Click start/and right click on my computer and choose properties/how much RAM do you have?

Ok lets get you to do a disk cleanup:

Click start/all prpgrams/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup/check all boxes and click ok.

Open IE and click on tools/internet options and delete history, cookies and temp files.

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

To manually change the size of virtual memory, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
  2. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Performance click Settings.
  3. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Virtual memory click Change.
  4. Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change.
  5. Under Paging file size for selected drive, click Custom size, type a new paging file size in megabytes (MB) in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, and then click Set.
  6. Click OK to close the dialog box and apply changes.

Try what I posted and see what happens and let me know babe.

Thanks for the replies. To be honest I got myself into a right mess a couple of days ago . It appears that the problem is cause by a bug in the internet explorer software.

Also Jelly Bean I shall follow your instructions and let you know how things go.
