AlarifHashem Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 There was a handy feature on the BT Home Hub 1.0 that let you stop users connecting to the router, it looks like I have to use it again because my older brother keeps disconnecting/reconnecting the broadband service so that he gets a new IP in order to watch videos on Megavideo. But the problem is that I don't find such a feature on this BT Home Hub 2.0 (the black one), do you guys know if there is a feature that lets me ban users from connecting to the router? Thanks Quote
Tootech Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) You should be able to either: only allow certain computers, or dissallow certain computer using their MAC address as identification. Yip, just checked - there is something called access control whereby you can set times that a PC can or can't access the net. Edited January 17, 2010 by Tootech Quote
AlarifHashem Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Ah yes, I see, I didn't think it could be used in this context. Thanks a lot Tootech, now I might be able to get something done on the PC without the internet disconnecting 20times. :) Quote
