Need help with this problem:

After a power failure (powersupply for the whole building was taken) Windows

Server 2003 wount start before I have told it what caused the power failure.

I want WS to do a clean boot and restart without the need for me to do

anything.

How can I do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Stein,

Open my computer properties, advanced and check the startup and recovery

settings for automatic restart. I think you have to uncheck send an administrative

alert.

Best regards

This may be what you want:-

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/293814

http://www.petri.co.il/disable_shutdown_event_tracker_in_windows_2003.htm

Personally I disable it at the domain level using Group Policies as it's a

really stupid, annoying feature.
