keyboard headache

Hi everyone

I've inherited a computer with a problem I cannot solve. Some of the keys I press display a different symbol on screen. e.g. when pressing @, screen displays " and visa versa.

Can anyone please advise me. I am running XP home edition.

Hello John. You need to change the keyboard layout to English (United States) from its existing state. Please use the instructions from here to do so and let us know how it goes. :)

It was first time I have read this problem you are facing john. Even I was thinking to suggest you to change the Keyboard may be it could be the keyboard problem. But Goku knows well whats the problem.
