Hi, Dave. ; )

There is finally a KB article about this:

<title>Error message when you try to open an ActiveX control-based MIME

handler in Windows Internet Explorer 7: "Invalid character"</title>

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934366

(Live Search for

FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN site:support.microsoft.com

)

The fix may be as simple as unchecking

Allow active content to run in files on My Computer

(in Options, Advanced tab, Security section)

FYI

Robert

Re: Problem with IE7

Try uninstalling / reinstalling Flash Player. Use the uninstaller at

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

Flash player download:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

If there are still problems see

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=fb1634cb

Download SubInACL from Microsoft to fix permission issues that prevent the

Flash Player Installation.

See
