I have a problem of my icons (desktop, control panel, etc) hesitating or

flickering, almost like they're slowly unfolding in their appearance instead

of completely coming into view at once.

I had this problem several years ago, & I know there was some kind of fix or

download to handle it. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

More memory, faster video card, faster processor and/or newer video card

driver and/or cleanup the machine of all unnecessary running applications,

malware/spyware/adware and viruses/trojans/worms.

Maybe a CHKDSK and a defrag might help too.
