I stupidly downloaded a proggy that installed a shortcut on my desktop which refuses to go away.

I have un-installed the program but this shortcut remains saying that it's not located there - but that's where it is.....

I have managed to get rid of them in the past but these senior moments are getting closer together I think and I've forgotten how - or they have peeps like me sussed.

How is it done please?

Cheers

jim

If it can't be deleted by right clicking it in normal mode try doing it from safemode.

I don't get the safe mode like most others --- I dunno why.

But I've been playing again and used hi-jack this to tidy up the front end. Deleting much dross that was loading at that point and it requested a restart.

On restarting it had gone. Must have got it from on of those sites.

Anyway all werky werky now!

Cheers
