Error Code 0x80090006

[Guest Brian]

after i type in my password when signing on i get error code 0x80090006. it

says "a problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license

for this computer". I am prevented from signing on. It sends me back to the

log on page. what do I need to do to resolve this problem and get back on the

computer?

Can you go into Safe Mode?

the black screen with the white text)

No, F8 start tapping it right after the beep when starting up or

rebooting the computer. Then you will have a list of things to choose

from. Choose the one at the top of the list, Safe Mode, NOT Safe Mode

with networking.
