bob12a Posted January 21, 2010 Author Posted January 21, 2010 Hi Bob how about a clue, is it not moving, moving to fast jumping, hopping, skipping, sticking its tongue out and blowing raspberries, sorry being silly but seriously whats the problem with it and what exactly is it doing or not doing Sorry its me missed a whole paragraph. The pointer is jumping not running smoothly like it should be doing. I have now checked a 3rd mouse and the effect is the same. Another clue whilst I am not a fast typist the key responses while I am typing are also seem slow. Cant think of anything else to tell you. muppet rebecca Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 If you turn the mouse upside down you can slide a circular plastic thingy round the ball. You open that and take the ball out. You see the rollers inside the mouse they get dirty. Maybe if you were to clean them up the mouse would run a bit smoother? Quote

Jelly Bean Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Also Bob if you use a newer Logitech mouse you download the software for it and the mouse can be set at speeds and keyboard keys can set at speed or repeat rate. It is called Logitech Setpoint. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................

Plastic Nev Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hi Bob, the problem you describe can be down to processes trundling away in the background, as to which one it is that is hogging processing speed and space, could be hard to find, but first rule out malware and run a scan with everything you have. Also once done, run a defrag, and also a general clear out of all the temporary junk files as well. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here.
