Error " CONNECTION TO THE REMOTE COMPUTER WAS BROKEN THERE MAY BE NETWORK

CONNECTION BROKEN"

I have 2 differnet location having 2 dc (ex a,b location). When I try to

connect client from A location to B location of client or server using RDC

it's working fine. But from B location to A location doing RDC it will show

be blue screen and after 10 sec it will revet with Error " CONNECTION TO THE

REMOTE COMPUTER WAS BROKEN THERE MAY BE NETWORK CONNECTION BROKEN"

But it's working only from Server whcih is located on B site. (e.g I can

able to connect server which are location A side using RDC and then can

possible to do RDC any client of A location) but RDC won't working from B

client to A client.

Server windows 2003 (sp2)

client windows xp professional (sp2)

WE did fallowing test

1) Installed NEW rdc client

2) checked firewall /mcafee

3) checked server logs as well both location.

4) try to installed new system without any application but still the same

Please help !!!

Re: Unable to connect the RDC to any client system on different locati

You did not specify if you are using the same set of credentials for all RDC

connections listed. Assuming that you are using the same set of credentials

and given that you are able to connect to a server in site B but not a

client in site B from site A it looks like a problem with the configuration

of the client at site B. I understand that you have listed checking the

firewall settings etc. but you might want specifically check for the

reachability (ping etc.) and connectivity of the client in domain B from

domain A.

It is possible the the client box allows incoming connections only for IP's

within the same domain? Hope this is of help.
