Is there any means with word 2003 of checking the time when started typing some text and the time finished typing it.

Means i will get "pure typed doc files only (without any other info)" from my workers through mails. With this doc files can i know it.

Thanks.

It sounds, to me, as if you really want to check up on your workers.

Ask them to use SHIFT + ALT + T at the start and finish of every letter.

I know what my response would be :)

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

No I don't think that there is any way to time the typing speed for a piece of text in ms word 2003. However you could go to a free online typing test e.g senselang - then put in your piece of text, and test your speed.

Also for the documents with pure text and with other things in like images. I would imagine in your company the doccuments will be of symilar nature therefore the ones without images will be of a symilar file size in kb ?

consequently the ones with images will be larger than those :)

Hi Jakedude182,

There is a way of finding out when a Word file was created, what time it was started, what time it was saved, how long it took to create, how many words, paragraphs etc etc

I was reluctant to inform the poster as it sounds to me as if he wanted to check up on his workforce.

( a bit sneaky for my liking ).

If you want to know how to get at the above information send me a PM and I will reply the same way.
