The same way you would a request for support. Microsoft Product Support

Services handles all issues and triages all bug reports. Once a product is

released, PSS takes over and handles all such things.

Normal procedure is to post the info so others may "replicate" the

supposed "bug".

In THIS case... I strongly suspect that bug reports aren't being paid

attention to.

I mean, like, the OS has already been replaced with a newer version.

If, perhaps, it's a "real bug" ;-)

Re: Windows XP bugs

That's the question of course. Is it a bug.

It doesn't matter, though. Since the user has to contact Product Support

Services so PSS can try to resolve the issue for the customer. That can

mean advising the user that it is a known problem or escalating to Microsoft

Research. MR in turn can provide a fix or workaround or triage it as a bug

to be addressed in a later release, including a future version of Windows.

In any case, once the software is in production there is no means for others

to validate or vote on a bug or do anything else you normally see in a beta

program. It serves little purpose for others to replicate the bug except in

trying to help the user resolve his issue.

Re: Windows XP bugs

Exactly, as most of the folks that claim "bug" here, don't have "bug"

but either a known issue with fix, or a self induced issue, hence the

"tell us" message.
