Morpheus

Morpheus

Overview Morpheus is a full-featured P2P file-sharing application that

allows users to search for all types of digital media across the MusicCity

Network.

Morpheus is neither central server-based, like Napster, nor based on the

Gnutella file-sharing protocol.

The program uses a proprietary peer-to-peer protocol to share files among

users on the network

The creator is :

*Copyright Cashme.co.uk 2000*

Looking at the first page, it seems to be another junk site looking for

click throughs. The site also uses the typical search engine "stuff"

material of repeatedly listing the various potential search terms that might

be used [bottom of the page], to increase search results, and make the page

appear to be legitimate [location of these materials at bottom of page so

most will not notice, having already clicked on a link]

RATING BY MEB:... Pure junk site by someone attempting to get paid for click

throughs.

Actual P2P site linked from the above page is:

This site mentions PAID usage in its terms of use.

Your question suggests router problems; likely the issue is your firewall.

You will need to tell your firewall to open whatever ports are required by

the P2P program, and allow its 'servers' access. As with all of these types

of P2P programs, you are allowing YOUR computer to act as a server on THEIR

network, hence you are wide open to that use, whatever it may be. You may

also have difficulties with your anti-SpyWare/anti-virus/anti-Spam/etc.

programs.

Regardless of what their {cough} experts or others will tell you, your

security is essentially non-existent when using these programs.

If you have issues then contact that vendor for support...
