Rename a workstation through command prompt

Hi,

I want to rename multiple workstatitions through command line. i searched

on the net and came up with the Netdom utility, but this works only if the

computer is part of a domain. the Workstations I want to rename are all part

of a workgroup running windows XP SP2. if there is a command line to rename

them, that would be great, if not, how about a third party utility?

 

PS, i don't want to go through the system applet.
