Lukestarable Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Hi all Just posting a little thread up here to ask if anyone else is currently using the BETA of Office 2010, and if they are, what systems are you running it on and how are you finding it compared to Office XP/2003/2007? I'm personally running it on Windows XP Home Edition/512MB RAM and finding that it's actually a bit more efficient than 2007! Next time I get/build a PC/laptop, hopefully 2010 will be ready in a stable build and on the shelves! Will definitely be having that... ;) [NB: apologies if a thread exists elsewhere along these lines, please re-direct as necessary!] Ta! Quote
muppet rebecca Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 We'll I'm currently trying a trial of office BETA 2010 and from what I've seen so far the layouts are completely different to the previous version. From what I can gather everything seems to be easier to do and more logically laid out so to speak. Maybe it will be a hit however I dare say some people will most likely not want to change there current office package for personnel reasons. Oh yer I use windows xp sp3....However the sp2 is quicker to run than sp3... Quote
Lukestarable Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 I think that's something that a lot of people have found is that SP3 on Windows XP has (had) a fair few bugs and general changes which have resulted in a kick in the performance region... I agree with your comment about the whole suite being more "logic" based again. Quote
