I am trying the setup EFS sharing. I believe this must be the least document

part of Windows 2003.

I have shared 2 files in one folder. I fetched and installed the basic efs

certificate. Now I read one but not the other. I shared another set of files

for security, gave them a certificate, shared the files to them. They were

able to open the files once. After that they just received error messages.

Have any good article? Can you help me?

Thanks

Re: EFS

I read the documents you gave me but I am still having problems, Let me

describe what I am doing maybe you have some idea where I am going wrong.

I copied a folder just to have a folder to play with. At the server console

I encrypt the file. I went to several users station and fetch a user

certificate. At that point I try to access the file from the station I

install the certificate on. No good. I also tried to encrypt it from a

workstation with not any better results.

The administrator is the recovery agent but if I encrypt from another

workstation administrator can't even view it.
