I got to know about the multi-core processor patch for the XP SP2. I have

two desktop PC (Q6600 & E6400) running the XP SP2. Should I install the

patch? According to MS, it fixes some problems related to ACPI processor

states.

I separately posted at two different XP NGs pertinent to this issue. Why is

it considered multi-post?

Because you separately posted at two different XP NGs.

When posting, do it to ALL NGs of interest at the same time... i.e.,

CROSSPOST.

Because you created multiple posts. If you created one post that had both news groups in

the post then your one post would go to both locations. Thus a replier who replied to the

post would also place the reply in both both groups. Thus benefiting all that read the

thread.
