Server migration

I have looked and all the server migrations I see say to similar hardware. I

have a customer that wants to migrate from Windows 2003 SP1 to Windows 2003

R2 SP2 on totaly differnet hardware and keep the same server names. Not a

problem except for the fact that it is a DC and the only DC at that location.

So is there a step by step guild to do a migration to different hardware

while keeping the same name. The only thing on this server is DNS and AD.
