Hi:

When I try to install the patch (KB933360) to update the upcoming change to

daylight saving time, I get the following message: "Update cannot be

installed as a newer or same timezone update has already been installed on

the system"

I didn't do it.

What do I do?

Have a good,

add/remove program list or in my update history.

Then you are WAY behind... that DST update came out before the change

in DST.

Assuming you have automated updates enabled, it was done as a part of

patches installed by the updates.

Hi:

If I am way behind, why doesn't it show on the windows update page as o/s?

I have no hidden updates.

Re: Time Change

Is Windows Update website or Automatic Updates offering you KB933360?

Start here: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst

Assuming Automatic Updates has been enabled and working during the past

year, chances are that you don't need to install anything else, Mel.

One approach is to wait until Sunday morning to see if the time change

takes effect.

....or move to Arizona or Hawaii!

I understand that /you/ can't install it. I asked if Windows Update website

or Automatic Updates offered it to you.

RE: Time Change

I'm receiving the same problem. I had only a couple of users say that their

time is one hour off. I checked and they have their time to auto adjust for

DST. I tried to install the patch but I receive the error "Update cannot be

installed as a newer or same timezone update has already been installed on

the system"

This suggest to me that the patch has been installed but their time is still

off. Any ideas what is going on? (XP SP2)
