Ryots Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Hey just want to say i'm newish to upgradeing computers, and sorry if this is in the wrong section! while looking on how much RAM my motherboard could hold (using CPU-Z) it came up that it should have four slots for DDR and mine only has two (though i can see where there should be another two) , I know this is an old computer i don't just want to scrap it just yet so i was wondering is there a way to fully use the two i don't have ( rather taking it to a shop and getting slots in them) or is that for my motherboard? sorry like i said i'm not very good with computers so any extra information needed i will get thanks in Advance Quote
maynardvdm Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Hi Do you mean the motherboard only has two RAM slots? Look at this picture, this motherboard has 4 RAM slots http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh257/maynardvdm/mobo.jpg As far as i know RAM slots can't be added or removed.
