Strange logon

I have a strange problem with Terminal Services.

A SBS 2003 server running terminal services. When anyone tries to initially

connect to server there is a 50 second wait before the logon screen appears.

I been through the likely culprits -

DNS is fine

No Network shouts

No disk activity or memory problems

The server sits there for 50 seconds then kicks into life and displays the

logon. This doesnt occur at the console of the server.

I have monitored the network using a hub and Wireshark. I can see the

initial communication, setting up session etc but then stops for 50 secs

before continuing.

Any help would be appreciated this has been bugging me for months.

Nope, it can't be. There's no way to install Terminal Services on SBS.2003

You can, however, enable remote desktop for administration on SBS. :-)

Event logs?

Since SBS does a lot of things its own way, I suggest you post future SBS

questions in microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs - I'm setting up my reply

to x-post there for this message.

Re: Strange logon

In addition to what Lan says

Post the IPCONFIG /all from the server

and a Client.

And Did this Just Start Happening? or is this a new SBS Install
