Running XP Home with sp2, recently the system32 folder displays when I

startup my pc. This despite ticking the box "Do not show hidden folders and

files." Can anyone help me to keep this system32 folder hidden?

Grateful for any assistance, terrymcd

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by

an incomplete program removal, in the

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys. It can also

be caused by an entry in these same keys that starts with a " / ."
