Re: Setup password in screensaver

The Windows screensaver uses the logon user account password. Go to Control

Panel->User accounts and set the password there. Then check the box in

Screensaver.

RE: Setup password in screensaver

when you check the box it will use the credentials you are logged in with...

for systems that auto-login with a default account it may be confusing

because the users general think there is no account. If you dont log into

the computer (i.e. it logs itself in) then you can hit ctrl alt delete and

choose change password while in windows BUT this might give you an error the

next time you reboot... and I believe it takes a registry edit to fix that...

been a while since I did it.

Re: Setup password in screensaver

Thanks, that's why there is no way to set the password.

The computer login has blank password. This was what the network admin guy

set that up. So I cannot setup a screensaver password probably.

The OS uses the password with which you initially logged into the

computer as the screen saver password. You cannot set a password on

only the screen saver, but will have to assign one to your user account,

and use it each time you log in.

Re: Setup password in screensaver

There is no password needed to login my computer.

The password box is empty.
