Malcolm W Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I'm thinking about setting up a wireless network at home, but I'm not too clear on some aspects: 1) Do you need a broadband connection to have a wireless network? 2) CAn a wireless network include Windows XP and Windows 7 computers? 3) Do you need a Wireless Print Server in a wireless network or can you use a printer that's joined locally to a computer in the network all over the network? Jelly Bean Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Hello and welcome. You can have a wireless network using dial up or broadband. Yes you can network XP and Windows 7. You can either have a normal printer connected to one of the computers and print from any of the computers on a network or you can have a wireless printer, both work.
