Hall.dll & system32\config\system errors

Hi,

My pc has just came up with these 2 errors on boot up, on the os menu it says windows(default) and when that is selected the error system32\config\system occurs, if I choose the other 1, Microsoft windowsxp home edition the error <windows root>\system32\hal.dll occurs. I do not have a recovery disc as it is allready on the computer which is called pc angel, this is accessed using f10, this gives me a 3 recovery options, no format, quick format and non-destructive recovery, I have tried all a number of times but the same errors occur depending on what I choose, this forces me to restart the pc every time, I have searched up the problem but it all has solutions for those with a disc, i'll try to give any other relevant information to those who need it to help.
