Guest Tim Kelley Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Is there an easy way to find who created a folder or file on my Windows Server 2003 server? I checked the owner of the folder, but it listed the administrators group as the owner. Thanks.

That's because an admin did it. Do your administrators all use the Administrator account or do they have separate accounts under their own name that are in the domain admin group? If all use the Administrator account, there is no way to tell. If they have their own account, enable Audito Object Access for files and printers for success and failure on each file server.
