I need to load the Visual Studio 8 Trial vesion for my developer to try out.

However, the only download offered is an iso file, and I don't have a DVD

biurner (it's 3.3GB). Is there a utility for MS Server 2003 to read an iso

file without buying a package I'm only going to use once (like ISOBuster).

Why would they /only/ have an iso download?

ISO is a common format hence why they offer it that way. You can probably

use MagicISO or UltraISO and mount it as a drive or simply open the ISO and

copy it to a folder and run the install from there.

Re: ISO Files

Personally I like the 7zip archiver, it can extract ISO files to the

hard-disk, then You can run setup from the hard-disk.

Re: ISO Files

There are several free utilities which will let you mount an ISO as a

"virtual" DVD. Daemon Tools and Magicdisc both work fine for me. I always

used to use Daemon Tools, but switched to Magicdisc when Daemon Tools was

slow releasing a Vista version. I believe that is now available.

ISO images are particularly useful for installing an OS for a virtual

machine, much better than a physical disk.
